For 'Les Roches', the French composer Adrien Legrand twisted analog synthesizers and percussive instruments to build music full of imagery in the tradition of library music composers like Jean-Jacques Perrey. He took inspiration from various rocks - clay, granite, limestone, sandstone and basalt - to create five unique musical landscapes. Minerality, rocks and soils are closely linked to wine making. That is why French natural winemaker Vincent Lafarge was invited to collaborate on this release. He made a special cuvée of black, white and grey grenache and syrah, vinified in clay amphora from vines grown on calcareous clay soils.
